Fibromyalgia and Depression

Fibromyalgia and depression

Are you suffering from fibromyalgia and also having issues with depression?

We can help!

In our video, we describe fibromyalgia as an exceedingly complicated disease, with different patients experiencing different symptoms.

Depression is one symptom which is found in approximately half of all fibromyalgia patients. And there is a good reason for this.

You see, many fibromyalgia patients have abnormally low levels of serotonin.

This is why anti-depressants which work on serotonin can also work well in fibromyalgia.

But these prescription drugs have substantial side effects.

Some of them are mild, and actually helpful. For example, many anti-depressants cause drowsiness, which may be acceptable if you are also having trouble sleeping.

However, some patients also experience insomnia, nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite...the list goes on.

So how can you boost your serotonin levels safely, without all of these side effects?

We recommend 5-HTP.

As we discuss in our video, 5-HTP is the key substance our bodies use to make its own serotonin naturally.

So boosting your 5-HTP should boost your serotonin, and hopefully help you battle your symptoms of depression caused by fibromyalgia.

If a daily 5-HTP supplement helps you, but if you're still battling insomnia, try a sublingual melatonin tablet at night.

Melatonin is also made from 5-HTP, so using a melatonin supplement at night, coupled with 5-HTP during the day, makes a great deal of sense.

Melatonin works well, but only if it's in a sublingual form. Swallowing hard tablets won't provide the full benefit!
