The final Key to Great Health is the most critical and it is also the most commonly overlooked.
Healthy nerve flow means that your brain is in clear communication with your body, which happens through your nerves. Without this clear communication, your body doesn't know what it is supposed to do and when it is supposed to do it, and your brain doesn't know what exactly is going on in your body at all times. If either situation is the case, your health begins to spiral downward as a result.
Many stresses in your life damages your nerve flow and causes problems in your health. Any time you are exposed to a physical injury, a physical load that is greater than your body can handle, a lack of activity, chemicals of any kind - especially over and over again, mental anguish or emotional stress of any kind you can greatly damage your nerves and thereby limit your nerve flow.
If left uncared for, your nerve flow will diminish more and more, leaving your health to decline further and further until you can no longer stand it or you can no longer live.
Most, if not all, of the health problems known to man have a nerve system component, meaning that the nervous system function has a role in the problem. If your heart is not getting clear messages from your brain because your nerve flow to your heart is poor, then you heart won't work right and it won't provide your body with proper blood supply. The same holds true with any organ, muscle, blood vessel or gland in your body: if you damage the nerve flow to it, it can't work right and your body's overall performance will diminish.
Healthy nerve flow can only be assessed and safely improved by a doctor of chiropractic. Doing so will help you get the most out of the remaining Keys to Great Health. Not addressing this Key in your life could leave you unable to improve your health in any way, shape or form.
