During a recent phone call, we were asked if there is any information on the use of curcumin turmeric for Crohn's Disease?
There is indeed some clinical evidence suggesting that curcumin turmeric may help with Crohn's Disease.
As sufferers know, Crohn's Disease is aninflammatory condition of the large intestines. It is routinely treated with anti-inflammatory medications, such as steroids and aspirin-like drugs.
The Crohn’s disease group also reported symptomatic improvements of fewer bowel movements, less diarrhea, and less abdominal pain and cramping...
So the data, while limited, suggest that curcumin turmeric may indeed help. It certainly makes sense, given that a) Crohn's is an inflammatory disease, and b) curcumin turmeric is a strong anti-inflammatory supplement.
